“44-day catastrophe: What happened and why” – Tatul Hakobyan will deliver lectures and present his new book in several cities of the USA

From March 25 to April 82021, Yerevan-based Armenian reporter and author Tatul Hakobyan will deliver lectures on 44-day catastrophic war in Nagorno Karabakh and Armenia’s domestic and foreign policy issues and challenges for Armenian communities in several cities of the United States of America.

During his two-week stay in USA Hakobyan will present four new books – The Valley of Death in Eastern Armenian (Մահվան հովիտ), the forth edition of Karabakh Diary in Eastern Armenian (Արցախյան օրագիր․ Կանաչ ու սև), and Artashes Vruyr’s memories In ANI (in English and in Eastern Armenian – ԱՆԻՈՒՄ):

In 2005 Hakobyan received Yerevan Press Club’s Annual Award for the coverage of regional issues in Azg daily.

In 2009, Yerevan Press Club  awarded him for his first book “Karabakh Diary; Green and Black”.

Hakobyan is a recipient (2014) of Haigashen Ouzounian Literary Award for his second book “Armenians and Turks”.

He is the 2016 winner of “The Time for Freedom of Press” – for consistent and comprehensive coverage of Karabagh conflict.

On February 20, 2019, Hakobyan received Media Excellence Award (2018 Universal Rigthts Award) in recognition of outstanding commitment to producing thoughtful and independent reports and promoting freedom of speech and expression.
