Hope For Educational Excellence
The Armenian World, only a budding concept a decade ago, is today an increasingly tangible reality. As we continue to build and strengthen the intellectual infrastructure of our global nation, embracing and enhancing the minds and might of young Armenians around the world remains a high cause.
Driven by this imperative, we are very pleased to announce the launch of the Huys Foundation, a U.S.-based independent, non-partisan, non-profit organization that pursues a single mission: supporting Armenian youth achieve educational excellence, with an academic and professional commitment to Armenia and the Armenian World.
Designed and delivered by Luys Scholars and Alumni as a transition from Luys Inc. – the U.S. partner entity for the Luys Foundation – this transition focuses the work of the Huys Foundation exclusively on educational excellence, achieving this through scholarship fundraising and building global networks of academic and professional potential. In so doing, the Foundation shall remain committed to the principles of accountability, transparency, and independence.
The Huys Foundation builds upon the decade-long accomplishments of the Luys Foundation and would like to express its immense gratitude to its two founders, Mr. Serj Sargsyan and Mr. Tigran Sargsyan, as well as the sponsors and the staff, who sowed the seeds of this groundbreaking vision by establishing an organization which brought life-changing opportunities to a worldwide network of over 500 Luys Scholars.
Given its urgent significance, the Huys Foundation also welcomes any organization that serves this mission of excellence. In this regard, we are very excited about the launch of the My Step Foundation under the devout leadership of Ms. Anna Hakobyan, which has set to amplify this high cause by supporting a number of aspiring scholars admitted to top world universities for the 2018-2019 academic year.
Throughout our history, Armenians have persevered and prospered by virtue of their knowledge and wisdom. For this reason, the Huys Foundation espouses educational excellence as the Light of Hope, striving to serve and guide the Armenian World, through education, to eternity.
The Huys Foundation (currently, Luys Inc., to be renamed) is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
