Recently, the new Government presented its five-year plan calling for an Economic Revolution. The goals stated within are ambitious and assume deep policy and institutional reforms. ATN welcomes the serious intentions of New Armenia’s Government especially in eradicating unfair market relationships and preferences.

In the age of NEW ARMENIA, ATN re-launched its operations in Armenia and started the ATN Weekly Business News Digest in English for its global community. During this period, ATN representatives met with various government officials and presented their viewpoints and structure – a global business platform providing significant value for Armenia.

In 2018, ATN member organizations hosted the first business outreach mission headed by Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan to Toronto and Los Angeles. In the fall, almost two dozen representatives from 6 ATN member organizations were present at the Francophonie Economic Forum. In January, the Armenian Prime Minister was hosted by the Swiss Armenian Chamber of Commerce in Zurich during a business luncheon. Other interactions continue to take place.

Armenians played a crucial role in international trade and commerce through their networks in the past. ATN aims to re-establish those global ties while providing Armenia with a unique networking platform in the future. Today, ATN is the only cross-community global business platform grouping 18 organizations in 13 countries – almost all Diasporan chambers of commerce and business councils, as well as the two major business NGOs in Armenia. ATN collectively aims at developing global ties between Armenian business communities and promoting trade and investments in Armenia.

ATN calls on its member organizations and all Diasporan entrepreneurs to be further engaged in promoting global ties with Armenia. Through its vast local networks, ATN is ready to assist in market-entry evaluations and company visits. “Together we can make a difference in Armenia and contribute to the development of our global business environment,“ read the ATN announcement.
